Woodturner Martin Wilson has been working with wood all of his life. His passion for wood is evident in his craftsmanship and one of his great pleasures in life is taking a piece of timber and exposing the grain under the bark that no one has ever seen before. Rather than imposing a design on it, often it is the piece of timber itself that will dictate what is to be created when it is put on the lathe. Each piece has its own story to tell and Martin is, in a way, the narrator.
